Words like, asbestos, formaldehyde, coal, tar, petroleum are well known toxins, right? So why would you settle for those in your cosmetics? *The talc found in blushes and foundations, and pencils typically contain asbestos.
*Formaldehyde is used as a preservative in cosmetics.
*Ethanolamines found in hair dyes, mascara, foundation, fragrances, sunscreens, dry cleaning solvents, paint, pharmaceuticals linked to allergies, skin toxicity, hormone disruption, and inhibited fetal brain development.
*Hydroquinone is a skin-lightening chemical that inhibits the production of melanin and is linked to cancer, organ toxicity, and skin irritation.
*Synthetic dyes that come from aluminum or petroleum products. Coal tar, one of the petroleum products that’s used, is known as a carcinogen. Some of the colors may even contain heavy metals.
